Precision Optical Fiber Cleavers – the most simple and commonly used tools for cleaving an optical fiber before the welding process or any other type of mechanical connection. The devices gained popularity due to the high quality of fiber cleavage, unpretentiousness in operation and ease of maintenance. Modern fiber optic cleavers allow fiber cleaving at an angle of 90±0.5°, which meets the requirements of any splicer.

Fujikura developers in the new cleaver CT-50 were able to improve all the strengths of the previous model CT-30A, which for a long time remained one of the most popular on the Russian market.

In addition to improvements, the new model has implemented a fundamentally new functionality: now, during operation, the CT-50 can be connected to the FSM-62S + and FSM-80S + welding machines via a standard Bluetooth connection. For this purpose, a power supply system is installed in the cleaver, powered by two AAA batteries (LR03).

This cleaver uses a new blade CB-08, which has a long service life – 60,000 chips. For convenience and reduction of the time spent, the drive mechanism has been completely redesigned: the chipping is performed automatically in one movement when the lid is closed.

In addition to ease of use and high quality cleavage, the CT-50 is characterized by reliability: the body is made of impact-resistant materials that protect all 6 sides of the tool from damage when dropped (from a height of up to 76 cm). Additional protection against moisture and dust allows you to work both in the laboratory and in the field.
