Silver winner of the world championships (1981 – up to 90 kg, 1982 – up to 100 kg). European champion (1984-1988 – up to 110 kg). Silver winner of European Championships (1981 – up to 90 kg, 1982 – up to 100 kg, 1990 – up to 110 kg). Champion of the USSR (1982 – up to 100 kg, 1986 – up to 110 kg).
